This training module, called “Diagnosis and accompanying” is the heart of the project where an inclusive and overarching analysis of the enterprise is carried out and followed by counselling and accompanying the CEO.
A first step consists in drawing-up the cartography of the regional dimensions of entrepreneurship including the analysis of the regional needs, possibilities, concurrences, risks and available financial resources.
At a second stage a “photography” of the SME is prepared, starting with the CEO, verification of the aptitudes, capacities (strength and weaknesses), depicting of the competency limits; and followed by the analysis of the team, its competences, the key persons and the resources in the team’s disposal.
Module 3 (just like the Module 2 - Soft skills of a mentor) will use Wiki facilities and a collaborative platform to be used by the digital sub-group of the module for social bookmarking, co-creation of documents, pedagogical discussions and content development.
On the basis of the results drawn from this in-depth analysis and taking in consideration the vision and ideas of the CEO the mentor is expected to help the CEO defining the potentialities of the enterprise, develop a new vision, casually a new strategy with a new business plan.
This can be linked to possible reorientation of activities and changes in the human resource development. This new plans may need new financial resources and the mentor, together with CEO, is supposed to target financial stakeholders of the region. Proven practice of the French partner ADINVEST International shows that business plans based upon the described procedure are welcome by banks and other financial institutions or investors.
This approach is also attractive for the local and regional governments since it hides the promise of an enhanced employment rate in the region.
The pedagogical approach is blended learning with the lion’s share of on-line training with simulation games. Again, the digital sub-group will work on a collaborative platform. The real life part of the training is more difficult here since CEOs may be reluctant to divulge details of their strategies and concrete plans in frames of a training. This emphasises the role of the simulation games here giving 80% of the training volume to on-line approach.
The key activities contributing to this deliverable:
- O4/A1: Completion of the module guidelines and collecting resources to the development
- O4/A2: Training material development in English (with simulation game)
- O4/A3: Translation into French, Hungarian and Romanian
- O4/A4: Adaptation to the local specifications in France, Hungary and Romania
- O4/A5: Finalisation in all the 4 working languages
